Dr Sibongile Chituku is a lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Nursing Sciences, College of Health, Agriculture and Natural Sciences at Africa University. She is the coordinator of the Post Basic Bachelor's in Nursing Sciences program, chairperson of Interprofessional education/ collaborative practice in the PETRA program and Global Hope Nurse Advisory Council member. She is a PhD holder and her thesis focused on Usage of Traditional Plants by pregnant women of Makoni District. She teaches research methods and supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects. She has reviewed more than 10 master’s degree research proposals and has a broad background in maternal health, with specific training and expertise in general nursing, midwifery and ophthalmology. Before joining Africa University, Dr. Chituku was a nurse educator for 10 years.
