Kimberly DiGerolamo is a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Division of Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
In this role, Kim drives outcomes by operating under three spheres of influence: the patient, the nurse, and the system. This includes her role as hospital lead for the Falls Prevention Program, Evidence-based practice mentor, and expert clinician. She is an adjunct professor in the Doctoral of Nursing Program at Villanova University.
Having 22 years of healthcare experience, 14 of those as a clinical nurse specialist, Kim has experience and knowledge in program development, process improvement, and systems thinking. Her work on falls prevention has been presented at national and regional conferences, and she has authored several papers that have appeared in leading scholarly nursing journals.
Within the context of the Oncology Division, Kim primarily focuses on complex care consultation and coordination, creating and facilitating clinical education, developing evidence-based policies and procedures, and promoting clinical inquiry.
